Nokomis Beach and the North Jetty Park-One of the best parts about Nokomis is the 22 acre beach park that houses a boat launching dock, a sprawling beach, and plentiful picnic tables and sites to set up a nice afternoon family picnic. Nokomis Beach also runs into North Jetty Park, which offers a fabulous view of the Intracoastal Waterway meeting the Gulf of Mexico and the long rock wall is great for fishing, watching the sunset or just enjoying the view of boats sailing in and out of the waterway. Don’t forget to stop by the bait and tackle shop for a cold beer or soda to help you enjoy the view! From Venice, take 41 north to Albee Road where you take a right and head all the way down until Albee Road dead ends. Directly in front of you and to the left will be Nokomis Beach and North Jetty Park.
Pop’s Sunset Grill-On a hot summer evening this is the best place to relax with a cold drink, good food and live entertainment on the Intracoastal Waterway in Nokomis. Located off Albee Road, on Circuit Road, just before you reach the drawbridge taking you to Nokomis Beach and Casey Key.
Pelican Alley Restaurant-Another great place to enjoy the Intracoastal Waterway view while getting a bit to eat at a reasonable price. This place is known for its good food! Bentley's Homemade Ice Cream Store-A new addition to the small shopping plaza on your way to the beach. The ice cream is great and the selection is varied.
