Kick back at Nokomis’ favorite waterfront restaurant and bar

Looking for a low-key environment to relax and enjoy an evening of good food and live entertainment in the warm summer air on a Florida night? Everyone who knows the Venice area will tell you that Pop’s Sunset Grill is the place to be on a hot summer evening. Overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway in Nokomis, directly north of Venice, separated by Roberts Bay, this is the perfect place to wind down after a day a spend fishing, boating or spent sunning at Nokomis beach. The food is always just right; particularly the seafood selections, but most locals enjoy Pop’s for the spectacular ambiance, especially the people and the good music.

While you are staying in Venice, it is a must to head north to Nokomis and Casey Key to see the view of the Intracoastal Waterway from North Jetty beach and Pop’s Sunset Grill is just down the street. If you are out on the Intracoastal Waterway in a boat or kayak, tie up next to the docks in front of Pop’s Sunset Grill and come in to cool off and refuel for the rest of your day on the waterway.

Open year round from 11-11, Monday through Saturday and 9-1 on Sunday just for the famous Pop’s brunch. With a wide range of breakfast and lunch options, Pop’s brunch is a great way to start off a Sunday afternoon before a day out in the sun.

You can find Pop’s by heading north on US-41 from Venice and turning right onto Albee Road (you will also see signs here for Nokomis Beach). Wind through the curving roads and just before you cross over the drawbridge to go to Nokomis Beach and Casey Key, take a left onto on Circuit Road.
