An affordable dining experience overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway

If you are headed to Nokomis and North Jetty Beach for an afternoon of fishing on the pier or catching some sun, end the day right and stop by Pelican Alley in Nokomis, right on the way back to your vacation rental in Venice. This place is another great way to enjoy the Intracoastal Waterway view while getting a bit to eat at a reasonable price. The best part is that everyone knows Pelican Alley for the consistently great food. This waterfront restaurant is a sit-down restaurant for the entire family to enjoy a casual dining experience while relaxing in front of the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway.

The new addition to Pelican Alley is the raw sushi bar. Or fill up on few restaurant favorite appetizers like the Ambrosia cocktail, served with seared tuna, large shrimp and crab claw meat, or the Fried Oysters. Stay for the whole dinner and try the Seafood Chowder or the always popular Scallops Soprano. The chef always prepares fresh daily specials that leave no need to even open the menu. Most entrees are priced between $15-$20 for dinner. Ask for a kid’s menu for smaller meals and smaller prices as well.

If you enjoy the warm summer breeze, sit outside on the open air deck, but if you prefer to stay cool, Pelican Alley offers a large air conditioned indoor dining area as well. There is enough room for waiting guests to take a seat inside or two step outside and enjoy the a great view of the Intracoastal Waterway from the docks.

If you are arriving to Pelican Alley from Venice, take Albee Road from 41-north, Pelican Alley will be on your left just before you hit the drawbridge. You can also reach the restaurant from the Intracoastal Waterway, just as you come back into the waterway from the Gulf of Mexico.
