Florida Ever-Glides
Take a futuristic tour of downtown Sarasota Bay area on a Segway Human Transporter, also called a Segway HT. You have probably seen celebrities on these fun electric scooters that are easy to ride and make for a great afternoon with the family.

Florida Ever-Glides is the first company in the country to offer scenic tours of Sarasota with the electric scooters. Imagine the fun and excitement of riding on an HT scooter while also getting to know the beautiful city of Sarasota. A maximum of 11 participants and one guide will meet in downtown Sarasota on Washington Blvd. Here staff members will make sure you are comfortable riding the scooter and give hands on training, which literally takes only a few minutes. They will also equip you with a helmet and other safety gear although these scooters are extremely safe.

The tour usually lasts about 2 ½ hours and currently the Florida Ever-Glides offers two different times, from 8-10:30 or the summertime sunset tour from 5:30-8. In the winter, times may be different since the sun will set a bit sooner, so make sure you call ahead of time. You won’t just ride around Sarasota for 2 ½ hours but also stop at historic sites from the 1920s as well as get acquainted with the art museums, theatres, and most spectacular downtown buildings.

There are age and weight restrictions for the scooters. Riders must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by an adult if under age. The normal weight capacity for the HT scooters is between 100-280 pounds, so even if your child is old enough, they may not weigh enough to ride the scooters. Sorry!
