This is a great place to take in lunch or dinner at a quaint outdoor cafe or restaurant overlooking the beautiful historic area of downtown Venice.
Even if you don’t enjoy shopping or browsing through the stores, Venice Mainstreet is a great place to enjoy a late afternoon in Venice strolling through historic downtown. This part of Venice has a wonderful small town feel, with antique shops, jewelry stores, endless children’s and adults clothing stores, and even specialty golf shops for the avid golf vacationer to pick up some new gear.
Venice and Miami Avenue does not just stop at shops and stores but also hosts a variety of arts and crafts shows, fashion shows, holiday parades and sidewalk sales. Head to Centennial Park between W. Venice and W. Tampa Avenues for a place to park and a Venice Mainstreet information kiosk to get you started on your tour of the downtown shops and restaurants. Head over the Intracoastal Waterway on Tamiami Trail towards Venice Beach and you will find W. Tampa Ave, W. Venice Ave, and W. Miami Ave, all running perpendicular to Tamiami Trail on the right hand side of the street. Give yourself plenty of time to browse through the unique shops of Venice Mainstreet and enjoy the historic downtown feel.
