PET FRIENDLY, COMFORTABLE, SPACIOUS


Let yourself unwind as you enjoy your stay on Fort Myers Beach, located mid-island and 360 steps (1/4 block) from the powdery-white sand and the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

We're close to our Times Square where you'll find great restaurants and shops and places to treat yourselves to some ice cream. Or if you choose to cook in, feel free -- remember, you're on vacation...LET GO, RELAX, UNWIND…

The property is half a duplex, has two bedrooms with queen-size beds, 2 full baths, and sleeps 4 comfortably (there's also a raised, queen-size, blow-up bed for use if needed). The house has a spacious living room with nice, extremely comfortable furniture, cathedral ceilings, and a good-size kitchen for preparing meals. And for your enjoyment, there's a big-screen TV that's great for relaxing and watching movies or watching your favorite sports teams. There's also a portable DVD player if you want to bring some of your own movies or rent movies while you're here. We also provide a desk-top computer with high-speed Internet access, and we also have wireless Internet if you want to bring your own laptop along.

There's a beautiful, big, screened-in lanai on which to enjoy our beautiful Southwest Florida weather. You can enjoy meals out there, play games on your laptop, play cards, or just do some good ol' porch sittin'!

Book your spring/summer vacation with us NOW (May through August) for the discounted weekly rental fee of $600. That rental fee includes cleaning fee and taxes and the fee for one pet. Additional pets, add $50 each.

Why my place is great for a pet?
We love our pets, and we want them with us as much as possible. Especially, if you're going to be away from them for a long period of time. I wouldn't want to leave our dog Murphy behind, and when you choose to stay with us, you won't have to leave your kids home, either!

The island of Fort Myers Beach is pet friendly. Dogs can be on the beach at any time of the day or evening; however, they must be leashed. But, if you head South toward Bonita Springs, just past Lover's Key State Park, you'll find Dog Beach. Dogs can run and play, leash free! So bring a ball or frisbee, a chair and some water, and have a ball watching your pet make friends and frolic, on the beach and in the water! Of course, we have to make sure to pick up after our pets, here and everywhere else on the island. Mostly for respect of other folks' property and also for respect of our beautiful beach town.

Maximum number of pets is two; but ask, I just might say yes!

Activities and Attractions
Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, Everglades National Park, Busch Gardens

A bowling alley is a short drive away. There's bike, scooter, and motorcycle rentals on the island and miniature golf just a short trolley ride or drive away.

You can catch the Key West Express boat and take a trip to Key West! Or take a trip on the gambling boat, if you're feeling lucky!

Remember to ask me about Captiva Cruises aboard the Lady Chadwick. She sails to many of the areas islands. You can go for lunch, shelling, a dolphin and wildlife excursion, or to unique shops. You can even enjoy a Cheeseburger in Paradise on Cabbage Key. It's said that's where Jimmy Buffett got his inspiration for that song! The Lady Chadwick departs from McCarthy's Marina on Captiva Island, and reservations are required.

You can also visit the Beach Theater, where not only can you see first-run movies, but you can enjoy a nice glass of beer or wine and anything from apetizers to full meals.

On the second weekend in October, Fort Myers Beach hosts its annual Pirate Fest. It's fun for everybody, with vendors lining the streets around the Times Square Area. There are pirates everywhere! There's even a Pirate Rapper! Check out our great prices for October. You'll have no excuse for not coming down!

And on or about the second week of November, Fort Myers Beach hosts its annual Sandsculpting Contest. These artists are truly unbelievable. I've posted a few photos on my photo page, but you really should see them in person. So, come on down and have some fun.

There's lots to do on the island and surrounding area.

Orlando and Walt Disney World is about a 4-hour drive. Tampa, where Busch Gardens is located, is about a two-and-a-half hour drive from here. Everything is very accessible from Fort Myers Beach.

There are many beautiful, public 18-hole golf courses in the area, too.

Are you an archeology buff? If so, check out the Mound House located just two blocks from here. Turn right on Connecticut St. and go the bay. There on the left is the historic Mound House. Renovations have just completed a few months ago. Take a tour of the house or fish off the pier or have lunch on one of the picnic tables. It's a beautiful, serene area.
