The Sandpiper at Cedar Key features an awesome two story wall of glass view and looks out to the to the continually changing colors of water, sky, and salt marsh. You overlook the Waccassassa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. If you feel the need to be connected, you have DSL/WIFI. Settle in at the Sandpiper and just relax! We have all the comforts you'll need. Pool and hot tub for your swimming or soaking pleasure! There is enough bedding to allow as many as six people to sleep comfortably. Dine in with our fully equipped kitchen with cookware and utensils. Our 2nd bedroom, a loft bedroom is a great place to seek privacy. Relaxing in the living room and on the balcony, the view is spectacular. The panorama includes the island's greenery, mangrove islands and salt marsh with its wildlife, with the Wacassassa Bay and Gulf of Mexico to the east. It is inspirational for anyone wishing to draw, paint, or photograph. So, come and visit the Sand Piper at Cedar Key and explore, discover, learn, relax and renew!

Why my place is great for a pet?
Our complex is pet friendly, and Cedar Key is dog friendly. Our furry friends are allowed in town and on the nearby beaches and in the park...and even on the balcony of a few restaurants!! Also, we are true dog lovers and love to share the place with our pooch, Tucker! He actually picked out our vacation home and when you visit, I think you'll agree he has an eye for the aesthetics in life..it's a long story...but, to sum it up, he thought the loft was waaaay cool! Ask us! Anyway, your pooch is bound to love it too. It was given the cherished 5 paw salute (figure that one out) by Tucker initially, and now, by lots and lots of satisfied guests!

Everglades National Park, Busch Gardens
Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge. Birdwatching, photography, kayaking, fishing, boating. Excellent dining, shopping, galleries. Manatee Springs State Park is about 30 minutes away - excellent park for walking, canoeing, diving. Gainesville is 1 hour away and has Gator games, museums, botanical gardens, Paynes Prarie
