This home, often described by our guests as gorgeous, has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 10-15. It is ideal for large groups and family reunions, but will also serve well for a luxury-seeking couple that can use the upstairs only, if they like. The mountain decor and unique decorating touches make this house feel far more like a friend's vacation home than a rental house. We allow pets, so you can make your visit with us a complete family vacation. Rocky Retreat is located in a quiet, wooded, Old Tahoe residential area, and combines privacy with easy accessibility to everything Tahoe has to offer.

The Great Room is expansive but cozy with it's high vaulted ceilings, skylights, and floor-to-ceiling windows. A stone gas fireplace brings special warmth to the Great Room, creating a cozy place where the whole family or group, pets included, can come together to spend a relaxing evening after a day of fun.
The pine corner armoire houses a large TV, DVD, VCR, as well as a sound system and a collection of games appropriate for the whole family. French doors lead to a redwood deck with a filtered view of the lake, deck furniture and 2 barbeques. Sunsets over the lake are fabulous from this vantage point.
The large kitchen is equipped with gourmet cooking equipment and serving pieces, and is open to the Great Room and gracious dining area, so the cook (or cooks, for the kitchen is spacious enough to provide for many!) will never feel separated from the rest of the group.
Upstairs, on the same level as the Great Room and kitchen, the Master Bedroom, with its Queen log bed, creates a feeling of peace and tranquility. French doors open onto the deck and there is a large vanity area separate from the bathroom. Downstairs there are 3 bedrooms and one bathroom (as well as a fully equipped kitchenette): The Forest Room has a Queen bed+ a double futon. The Garden Room has a Queen bed. The Bunk Room has 2 sets of log bunk beds (i.e.4 twins). The Bunk Room also has a TV/VCR and a computer desk/armoire full of games for the kids. Two of the sofas in the Great Room are sofa beds: a Queen & a Twin. The fully enclosed, landscaped garden has a large hot tub, garden furniture and a barbeque. A non-refundable $150 cleaning fee; a refundable $450 ($650 if dog) security/damage deposit returned within 2 weeks of vacating IF all of the following apply:
There is no damage to the property.
Only normal cleaning is required.
And there have been no violations of the contract.
