Dog Friendly Spencer a Yorkshire Terrier From Las Vegas NV vacations in Venice FL. This was Spencer's first pet vacation and as you can see from the photo he has adjusted nicely. Spencer found refuge in a dog friendly vacation rental located on Venice Island in Florida. The motto here is "pets allowed"
Spencer is an energetic 7lb Yorky that likes to eat peanut butter, play tug of war, go to doggie beach and play in the ocean. He thinks he is king of the beach despite his size and will go up to any dog and kiss him or her on the nose.
Being that this was Spencer's first pet vacation, some planning was involved to ensure a smooth travel experience. Spencer had to bring a letter from his doctor to show that he had a clean bill of health and was not a threat to the passengers on the plane. This letter allowed Spencer to pass through security with ease. While Spencer dreamed of running on the beach in Florida, his parents kept a watchful eye while he slept in his nylon pet bag. When Spencer arrived in Florida, he jumped off the plane and ran for the nearest patch of grass to avoid any accidents. For a little guy he held his water well. Way to go Spence!
On the car ride from Tampa FL to Venice FL Spencer's pet vacation had finally begun. Driving 70 mph on the highway with the window down allowed Spence to stick his head out in the wind every now and then. The wind was a little much, but that didn't prevent him from testing it out from time to time. His sneezing led us to believe that things would be better for him at slower speeds.
Once we arrived in Venice Florida Spencer ran through the yard and started to play. He looked at me with his head tilted to the side as if to say "dog friendly vacation rentals are just what we needed".
